This weekend was the Durham YSA ward camp out! It was so nice to be outside! It was interesting, last week we had record breaking heat waves and this week we have had lightning and rain storms every day! Some were nervous that the camp out would have less than desirable weather... however there was not a drop of rain and the temperature never raised above 80 degrees! It's another North Carolina miracle!!
I included a map because I was so pleased how close this was to my little home. On the bottom left you can see downtown Durham and then the large lake and forest area in the middle is Falls Lake!

And look closer into the trees... me and Jeanette in the morning! You can see the lake through the trees. Yes, there were other ward members camping, but no, we did not get any pictures of them. :)
Hooray for jet lag. I started catching up on your blog last night after we spoke and fell asleep for an hour or so until Ryan came home and we officially went to bed. I woke up around 3:00 am and after forcing myself to stay in bed until 4:00 am I came out for a bowl of cereal and finished reading your blog... and looking up baby stuff on KSL. Oh Kathy, your whit and charm makes it hard not to laugh and wake up my sleeping husband. My favorite posts would have to be the ode to Matt and the "do you have a boyfriend" story. Keep them coming and I'll try to make some new posts of my own. LOVE YOU!!!
