Midwestern University and Podiatry

Weston just finished his first year of Podiatry School!! A lot of people ask Weston what Podiatry school is like?  Some also ask me and while I may not know a lot about Podiatry school, here is what it looks like from my point of view :)

White Coat Ceremony starting first year

Me, in the podiatry lab, being treated for broken second digit, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprain, bunions...

high arch and hammer toe!

Sometimes when you are working on sewing projects,
you are also having your subtalor joint angles being measured.

During the summer, the citrus trees are blooming on campus and you can stop by and pick some lemons!!

We are not even missing out on a little college basketball!! All of the other podiatry schools from the nation put together basketball teams and have a huge tournament as one of their podiatry conferences.

And last, the suture off! Basketball bracket style suture competition between all the first year podiatry students. The final contestants are dressed in operation getup and suture in front of a heckling crowd :)

First Phoenix Summer

Last year was out first Phoenix summer and now that it is starting to get hot, it is fun to reminise. We moved here last July and summer lasted about until December...

Before moving we had some down south and up north adventures:

Charleston, South Carolina!

Koosharem, Utah for Crane Family Reunion

Hebgan Lake, Montana for Packard Trip

Then finally to home in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mercy! There were days in a row over 120 degrees. You will see most of our pictures are
outside at nighttime or in the pool with summer visitors :)

Home sweet home!

Paddling around the ONLY body of water we have found yet :)

Glendale Community College Football

Brave summer visitors!

The desert beauty has grown on us and I think that we have adjusted,
I am certainly more pansy when we visit home :)

So Engaged!!

This is one of my all time favorite pictures and memories.
This was Winter 2011 on Maylans Peak in Ogden with my good friend Weston.

This was on top that very same mountain two years later,
when that same good friend asked me to marry him:)

I never could have imagined this! Life is too good sometimes:)

Here are some of our engagement photos taken in Alpine, Utah.

Trecking Home

Well, this has turned into one of those tales where you see the ending before the rest of the story:)
After Christmas break, it was apparent that my time in North Carolina was at an end. This little blur of events will be some of my very favorites to remember my whole life through!

I packed up my little civic again, this time leaving the front seat empty, because I was about to pick up a traveling companion in Nashville, Tennessee!

I stayed the night in Tennessee with Jeanett's parents and waited excitedly until the next day when Weston flew in!

Best day ever:)

We trekked through the night and stayed in Kansas City, Missiouri. The next day was full of conversation and Kansas State skyline.

We had a little trouble filling up on gas at this little station, apparently the gas attendant was not there... but this sign sure was!

Then through Vail Colorado

Our tire may have blown out in the canyon... all a part of the great adventure:)

Love and Marriage

How did this happen?!? Much has happened since last December :)
I went home from North Carolina for Christmas break to discover that my one love,
Weston Packard, was in love with me too. This made short work of dating and
engagement and on May 17 we were married in the Bountiful Temple!

Our reception was in an old barn in the town I grew up in.

Loved this day and Love this man :)
