The Fourth of July

Before the Fourth of July weekend, we retreated to Flagstaff with some Bosom Friends, Leslie and Rob Roden, to camp :)

Leslie rereads Ella Enchanted regularly, loves to hike and has an irrational fear of mountain lions... those are just a few examples of what makes her a kindred spirit :)

The actual fourth we had a lovely ward pancake breakfast.
That night we went to a minor leauge baseball game in Surprise, AZ with Austin, Lisa, and Izzy LaBanc. It was fun to have a smaller crowd and there was an impressive firework show after.

Le Bump & La Bebe

My blog was originally started when I moved to North Carolina so that I could keep updated with my sweetest sisters. Now living in Arizona it has made a comeback for that same reason:) Here are some pictures of the bump and the soon to be Baby Packard!

Bartlett "Lake"

There is not much natural water in Pheonix. Or maybe any... but Weston is good at finding treasures close to home :) This particular adventure was to a reservoir near Carefree, Arizona. Rightly named:)
It was a magical day of off-roading for Civi, $3 tubes and floating for Weston and I.

Summer Visits and the Pre-110 Degrees :)

Summer time in Arizona is always an adventure. You either have to be very creative or very brave to have some outside fun :) Weston's mom and sister came to visit us in June and I think they were more in the brave category!

Here we are on the Packard's "Arizona initiation hike" at Thunderbird Peak. We tried to go early in the morning to beat the heat... then remembered there's no such thing :)

Baptisms at the Mesa Temple

Tour of Midwestern University Campus

Of course, some pool time! Weston would usually meet us at the pool when he got out of class, I think this was his second time jumping into the pool fully clothed :)

And some Arizona Diamondback vs Atlanta Braves Baseball. The stadium had a retractable top and air conditioning in the summer time. Magical!!

Here's to the pre-110 degree days!
