Yosemite National Park

This semester break was a special one! We had two weeks of summer freedom. We spent the first week up in Utah seeing all the people we love the most!

It also was our one year wedding anniversary! One year had never looked this good :)

The second week was a California road vacation, including the magical Yosemite National Park!
The first day we hiked up the Mist Trail, this is the trail you would start on to summit Half Dome.

Soaking wet from the waterfall mist

Top of Vernal Falls

This was by our lovely campsite

The next day was some sight seeing! Glacier Point overlooks most of Yosemite Valley

Mercy, Half Dome

Upper & Lower Yosemite Falls

Bridal Veil Falls

Lower Yosemite Falls

Looking into the valley, on the left is El Capitan.

After camping we stayed in Monterey and did a bit of driving down the coast

We finished down nearly the entire length of California to Arizona while Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban kept us company :)

Midwestern University and Podiatry

Weston just finished his first year of Podiatry School!! A lot of people ask Weston what Podiatry school is like?  Some also ask me and while I may not know a lot about Podiatry school, here is what it looks like from my point of view :)

White Coat Ceremony starting first year

Me, in the podiatry lab, being treated for broken second digit, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprain, bunions...

high arch and hammer toe!

Sometimes when you are working on sewing projects,
you are also having your subtalor joint angles being measured.

During the summer, the citrus trees are blooming on campus and you can stop by and pick some lemons!!

We are not even missing out on a little college basketball!! All of the other podiatry schools from the nation put together basketball teams and have a huge tournament as one of their podiatry conferences.

And last, the suture off! Basketball bracket style suture competition between all the first year podiatry students. The final contestants are dressed in operation getup and suture in front of a heckling crowd :)
